Dew me some good =)

Today is such a good day!
Sister Sherri Dew is here on campus.
I saw her at Foodland last night buying groceries and whispered to Danny that she was standing right there. He goes, "go touch her..." haha she's pretty much a celebrity to me.
I just started reading her book "God Wants A Powerful People".
And lucky lucky me! i slept in today and missed my church, and went to my roommate's ward.

When sacrament started, the 2nd counselor got up, welcomed everybody and said,
"We are so grateful to have Sister Dew and Sister Nelson in our congregation today"
I got way excited.. then they asked them to go up at the very end to share their testimonies.
My eyes were glued to them haha. It was awesome, and there's also a fireside tonight.
So I'll post some of the saweet things I know they're going to say later =)

I have had this wonderful thing inside of me telling me to be happy. To be patient, and

that I have a lot to look forward to.

There are so many things that I want. I want to be able to serve people so that I can stop focusing

on myself.

I came to BYU Hawaii knowing that it is a rare thing to be accepted here. I have a strong belief

that whoever is accepted, and follows the honor code and searches for the reasons they are here,

will make a huge difference in the institution as a whole, and in smaller parts of theirs and

other people's lives.

That's what I am seeking.

One thing every person must learn, is that God is willing to grant us blessings if we ask for them.

He is willing to guide us and show us, and that following his path is the best way to true happiness.

I am learning patience, but on the way I have gained these desires;

~I want to raise my family in the gospel, and I know that I am gaining my testimony right now so that I

can teach them.

~I want to get married in the temple. . to the man my patriarchal blessing describes.

~I want to travel places with my husband and see things and help people and learn more about the world.

I don't want to do it alone.

I'm only twenty. haha. But I'm so excited to get married.. when the time is right (=

My roommate Ashley and I have been looking at wedding stuff the past week or two. We don't

plan on getting married for a while, but it seems to put us both in elated sort of moods haha.

Enough about that! haha I really don't think about it that often, but when I do. . . i get really excited.

I have a feeling it'll be sooner rather than later. . .

Some news on my EFY job application:

I called the office today, they said that they're waiting for a girl to accept or decline the job,

and if she declines they'll "probably" give it to me. Here's to hoping! It's in about a week so

they better jump on that! That would be the best thing ever!!!

And i'm off to the beach again.

Busy Little Bee

Yay!

The past couple of days, i've been pretty busy.

My classes are actually really slow and not so time consuming.

I have to write 2 small reading summaries for history, and a 4 page paper and i'm done.

no more class.

For ceramics i have to glaze 3 more pieces, and wait til they get fired, take a quiz tomorrow,

and i'm done!

2 nights ago i was invited by some of the coolest kids here at byuh haha to play games with them. My roommates and tagged along.

there were 10 of us crammed into a mini van with no seats haha.

and we went to Kahuku (where i picked up trash for a service project =) and played some games with a tennis ball (including attempting to play baseball, and throwing the ball around in a huge circle). On the way back, we were all crammed in the van again, and "My Girl" came on the radio.. we were all singing and it was the best thing ever haha.

Then we went back to the Water Polo House and played games in their yard. Including Ninja!, Hunter woman bear, and talked until really late haha and i still had homework and a 7:30 class in the morning.

We made plans to play soccer the next day too and i was so excited!

Wednesday:

7:30- History class til 9:40

We got breakfast and reviewed the theme we've been talking about.

When we were all done eating, a kid came in with a watermelon, everyone started cheering and laughing at him.. so he started throwing it from one hand to the other, and it fell and broke all over the floor. It was probably one of the funniest things ever.

9-9:50.. got out of class early.. wrote Logan Greenburg who just got to the MTC!

9:50 ceramics

11: home for lunch, showered and watched a little bit of Glee (i'm gonna finish it today)

2:30 ish.. Danny came over =) we had a nice little talk haha oh how i love my best friend.

4 Went to play some soccer! i didn't even know where our schools soccer field was haha it's hidden behind the PCC.

6:30 PM went to the ceramics studio to have a glazing party.. which ended up only lasting about 2 hours.

9PM dinner with Ashley (corn and pizza rolls haha)

9:30 Ultimate Frisbee at the Rugby Field

11:30 Taco Bell

12:45 Bed.

I'm so glad that i've been kept busy! =)

I love Hawaii. I've never been here during the summer, but its got this nice vacationy-summer feel to it and i'm loving it.

(but i still can't wait to go home.. then come back to Hawaii with a car =)!! yay

And today I'm going to the beach. =)

~go on drives in my car!! yay!

~Hopefully see Weston before he leaves on his mission

~Visit my Georgia friends in Provo

Beaches, Ghosting, Milk Duds, Packages, and Cookies!

2 things for this post.

This is my History Professor.

She bashes on our government for at least

20 minutes of the 2 hour class every single day.

and I'm like ok lady..

there are only 3 american kids in the class

the rest are from all over the world.

Compared to some places, our government really is doing good

so calm yourself down, and try to be optimistic.

Because there is a lot of good in our country too.

and i think that the people you're talking to should hear that more.

she also made me and another girl stand up and

"follow the yellow brick road"

whilst arms locked and skipping around the classroom

and singing.

2 more weeks. haha

Today is a good day =) and Stephanie needed it haha

*ceramics class.. (well first my ceramics professor got mad at me.

He almost ruined one of my pieces and told me he didn't feel bad

because I did it wrong and i shouldn't have.

i was literally holding back tears..

then realized he was really frustrated with another kid he

had just talked to because the kid has turned in ONE

assignment out of TWENTY, so it wasn't me. and i felt better.

I actually work really hard to try and impress him..

later i fixed it and asked if it was ok..

he said "yeah.. that's actually really good, good job."

i think he knew he made me feel bad.)

But i love the class haha and i love all the people in it,

i've made like 15 new friends and it's awesome.

Anyway.. storytime.

(this is awkward.. but really funny.)

I was throwing a pot on the potter's wheel during class. I have to use a bucket of water with a sponge to wet the clay. So i had to lean forward over the pot a lot to wet the sponge. My teacher had to come over and help me do something i'd never tried before.. and we ghosted for a few seconds haha, but that's not the best part. . .

I was leaving my class, and realized that my boobs had big brown spots on them. Like.. just on the tips. Both of them, it looked like i dipped them in clay. SUPER awkward.. but funny haha I was embarrassed at first, then laughed at myself. "my nipples look like milk duds!"

~I made a cool pot in ceramics (really tall with a lid.. its hard!)

~Almost finished the Hunger Games

~Received an answer to something I've been praying a long time about =)

~Went to the beach with some friends

. . . 2 of Danny's friends that came couldn't swim,

and they were playing in the ocean with us.

the waves were pretty big, and the girl kept getting sucked under

and she'd just come up and laugh and smile.

She was super brave!

and the boys would grab her arm so she wouldn't go under,

but sometimes they wouldn't grab her and it made me so nervous!

they'd have to run after her and pull her up out of the water.

But she did it for a while,

i remember when i first swam in the ocean, and getting sucked under a wave

even when you know how to swim is WAY scary. .

~Got a package from my momma =) . . i still haven't opened it

i have no idea whats inside!!

~Our oven broke.. it's been broken for almost 2 weeks and our landlord fixed it today!
