Tsunami Warning

2am- finished watching The Ring w/ Danny, Crystal, and Dan (new boy toy ohh yeah)

3am- text from Danny "ran into a friend.. tsunami's supposed to come. there's a line at Foodland, there were 3 big earthquakes in Chile a few hours ago."

5am- woken up by roommate. "bishopric wants us to pack a 72 hr. kit and go to either the Temple or Hale 2

5-6am- phone calls, neighbors coming over, home teachers texting, parents and siblings calling

packed tons of water, a change of clothes, toothbrush, crackers, cheese, cards and catch phrase.

6:30 - drive with roommates to hale 2, camp out in lounge. Danny finally wakes up and we head to the caf for breakfast.

now..

its 9:30.. the waves will hit our island around 11:52. They say that they'll hit Hilo first (a different island), then Maui, then Honolulu. The waves will go completely around the islands, so there is no doubt that we will get some kind of action over here. The water is already rising on the North Shore (right around the corner from campus.) so right now, we're just camping out in the dorm lounge, waiting til 11:52. The campus people aren't really coming around telling us what to do, my mom is pretty upset about that.
