This week/weekend

_i had a really busy/good week.

_i am so excited for my parents to get here on Tuesday!

_i'm also excited to go to Maui with Danny to be with my family

_i love my english class (we are learning about literature in Oceania..

some interesting facts..

*i'm reading Hawaii's Story about Hawaii's last queen.. for serious

you should read it because i bet you haven't even heard of it huh?

*Her name was Liliuokalani

*she was baptized LDS

*the book covers how the missionaries & the "white tide"

totally deceived the hawaiian kingdom and took over.

It is so sad. but SUCH a good book. she was so smart

and so sweet and humble. I LOVED the book. read it.)

_i still hate math.. i failed our test on Tuesday.. but i thought i'd get like a 0%

literally because i didn't feel like i was doing any of the problems right.

i got a 55% which is a LOT better than i thought i'd do. so i'm actually happy about it haha.

_i've been missing all my long lost friends (aka mariana, courtney, arielle, ashlyn, jenn, rachel,

malissa, my cousin jamie, kenzie, collette, chelsey.. random. but if any of you girls read this

i love you guys and have been thinking about you!)

_i miss my sister julie. I keep thinking about how amazing she is and

i get all teary eyed and have to stop thinking about it. I'm going to miss her

so much.. i can't imagine not being able to talk to her or see her for 18 months.

but i'm so glad she's doing it.. it's 100% what she should be doing right now.

WEEKEND:

we'll start with thursday..

i again remembered how lucky i am to have danny in my life..

so i wrote him a letter and made him some cookies

(he thought i was studying haha)

and brought them over to him at his dorm.

i also rented Lord of the Rings so we could watch it.

he has been so excited to watch it with me.. so i rented it for us =)

Friday..

class till noon

ate in the caf again with danny and crystal

we watched some Seinfeld and community and modern family

(it was a really rainy day.. or else we would've been at the beach)

had a movie night with my roomies

holy moly.

Saturday..

ward BBQ.. i woke up to my roomie cooking some food

and some guys from my ward walking around my kitchen haha

my bedroom door was open.. i think one of them was watching me sleep..? creeper.

we waited around a while for the food.

burgers, potato salad, & jello cake stuff

soo good.

i think danny & i and his roommate are going to the beach! its finally sunny!!

hmm.. today is a good day =D

Some healthy tips for Stephanie

(i leave for Maui a week from today.. and guess what..

i'm going to look good.. i promise. i'll even take a lot of pictures to prove it to you.)

*these are from a dietmd online article and they seem pretty legit.. i am committing.

-eat plenty of low-calorie vegetable to help you feel full.

-drink plenty of water so you don't confuse hunger with thirst.

-clear the house of tempting foods

-Stay busy to prevent eating out of boredom.

-Eat only from a plate, while seated at a table.

-Always eat 3 meals and one snack daily -- no skipping meals.

well pretty much i've never really liked my body. I'm a girl & that's just how it is.

I hate that feeling when you just don't like yourself.. and it's been discouraging me.

So guess what.. this is it. I've never actually committed to it and said "ok.. for realsies"

I'm going to learn diligence yes i am.

Africa, Taiwan, 3 pointers, some good news & a headache..

My weekend:

Friday:

I had class 'til 12.... i ate in the caf for the first time in like a year! it was crazy.. it kinda made me miss the whole social life and stuff i had before i moved off campus.

then we decided we were going to go to the beach.. but we got to my house and it felt soo dirty to me.. so i made Danny wait (he read lotr) while i cleaned up a little bit.. (its a new semester.. we have a new roommate.. and we all haven't really gotten into the flow of the semester yet.. so the cleaning is kind of pushed aside.)

we went to Hukilau for about an hour and a half.. soaked up some rays..

I have a huge Math Test Monday.. so we went to a Math 110 review session.

Danny loved it cause they were speaking chinese to each other.. plus he loves math.

I hated it because math is complicated.. and their asian minds are just too smart for me haha

then we went to watch some on campus student films.

there were entitled:

Bad Moon Rising,

The Last Kiss,

& 3 Nights

they.were.terrible.

and i sat next to Crystal who is like already pro at acting..

and it was way funny to hear her comments throughout all the movies.

EPICNESS CAME AFTERWARDS. I SWEAR...read on.

Crystal, Danny & i decided we wanted to go sit in a hot tub at Turtle Bay.

It took forever, but we finally got on a bus and on our way.

We got off the bus around 11, and we had to be back at the bus stop at 12.

We tried to get into the Villa pools.. they were closed..

so we walked like 6 miles (not really) to the hotel pools..

one of the hot tubs was empty haha

so we tried the next one.. it looked way murky.. but we trusted it.

crystal got in, i got in.. and danny was about to sit down when we hear "HEY"

like a deep poly man's voice.

security guard. crystal tried to lie, it didn't work..

he made us follow him.. we thought he was going to fine us or something...

he just took us on a really nice long walk back to the bus stop haha.

bus stop wait for 45 minutes. the wrong bus comes and tells us we're too late.

luckily we have friends with cars..

2 hours later.. we're back at home.. with basically nothing but bus passes to show for it haha.

Saturday:

I woke up with a purpose.

the sole purpose of this day was for me..

stephanie holm..

to sit at home and relax.

i have been really stressed and tense and needed some ME time.

Got some texts from boyfriend doing homework.

and best friend telling me to come over.. i said no.. she understood.

i.... did some yoga.

i.... read a book called "Hawaii's story" about the last Hawaiian Queen

i.... took a shower and exfoliated (yep.. i went all out)

i.... put leave-in conditioner in my hair

and i put on some comfy jammies and started watching the last Conan Late Night.

Woman! come to Africa with us!

(danny and erin joined the African Club and they think they're so cool.

I didn't want to pay the $3)

me:

no. you go and keep boyfriend company.

knock at the door:

i answer with a mean face.. its my nice roommate/r.s. president

"i think erin's calling you"

i go to the balcony.. whilst appologizing for giving her that face.

Erin dean:

"aaaaaahhh.. woman! put some clothes on lets go!"

seriously. no. i needed my alone/me time. i feel like i never get to do what i want to do.

i like to let people do what they want.. or make them choose something

so i dont have to.

i had conditioner in my hair up in a gross wet bun, no make up on, and was in jammies.

she made me dress myself and join them at the African Club Social.

the plus side:

-really really nice African people/other people who weren't African

-really good rice and chicken

-erin & danny are becoming friends through their african adventures.

next:

nap time/finishing Conan

Then:

Taiwan club social with Danny.

i.. spoke chinese and made like 6 Taiwanese friends

(k.. so really... i'm not racist.. i just dont associate with all the cultures here..

i really should.. i just dont. its nothing about them.. im just scared haha..

but i'm slowly changing because i realize that they're people. even though they're different,

they don't scare me as much because they're a lot nicer than i was expecting.)

it was fun.

then basketball game which was epic.

rented "Monster's vs. Aliens"

fell asleep.

and yeah..

then it was sunday..

just a pretty much normal sunday..

except i keep getting these really terrible throbbing headaches..

i have to take like 4 ibuprofen to make them stop. =(

I just thought i'd post another

post.

i'm supposed to be studying for my math quiz tomorrow,

and finishing up a couple problems for homework.

but no.

i am blogging.

danny already left to finish some homework,

so i am not doing what i should be doing haha.

reasons why danny is the bbfe (best boyfriend eva) in Hawaii:

-he's doing superbly well at making friends =)

(thats good for me cause then they can be my friends too!)

-he's very understanding & helps me with school/friends/family issues

-we take walks and go on bike rides and

everyday i'm reminded of why he's my best friend.

-he'll just sit at my house with me and watch friends or movies all day

cause that's my favorite. &being with him makes it all the better.

(plus he'll be patient &help me with our homework)

-he's pretty adventurous.. we haven't done a whole lot more than

trying to body-surf at hukilau.. but the semester has just begun....

-i can tell he loves spending time with me

and i love being with him.

-we love each other. =) haha

College Algebra = my brain on fire.

I am in Math 110.

In high school, I did fine in Geometry, pre-algebra & algebra.

Never above a B in all 3, More like an average of C's.

I've been avoiding taking a math class in college.

There are reasons why I'm lucky & i enjoy the class:

-Danny is taking it with me & he basically is my tutor

(so i get to give my tutor kisses for helping me =)

-I've remembered a lot from high school

-I'm doing the online version, so it can help me step by step, and

sometimes it's multiple choice which makes things so much easier.

-I am learning a lot.

& that is why i love math, but i hate it.

i know i'll never use it, but i also know it's useful

(& secretly i think my brain is grateful for the exercise its getting)

Yay the beach & Fun Pictures =)

This is my cute boyfriend Danny Baer =)

he's new to Hawaii.. so we decided to go to the beach

across the street from my house the other day.

The water was really cold haha...but he owned that ocean.

Anyway.. Hawaii is really fun with him =) we went exploring

around the point in Laie and have gone to Hukilau twice.

(Crystal Bates our friend from STG was there one time

so we played with her =)

This semester has already been a lot different for me

than last semester. I've eaten out a lot at Haleiwa Eats,

Subway & Taco Bell & Leonard Jr's for malasadas haha.

I'm only taking 12 credits, but 3 of my 4 classes are pretty

difficult & time consuming.

I've tried really hard to start working out again.

I didn't work out at all over the break.. and i'm paying

for it now.

I've done pilates a few times... & this morning i woke up

at 7:30 and went running on the beach.

It.was.amazing.

The beach was all smooth from the waves,

the sun was just coming up so it was kinda cold

when i left, and the waves were beautiful..

i think i'm going to make it a daily thing if i can

wake up. =)

Hawaii.. back in the 808

Danny left for Hawaii about 12 hours before I did.

He got here at 6:30 AM and I didn't get back until about 8 PM.

I guess when he got here they didn't have a room for him.

He told me that right as i was boarding my plane,

so I couldn't find out what happened until 6 hours later.

I pretty much stressed the whole time haha. I was way worried

about him being here walking around, not knowing anybody...

idk haha i just felt bad that i wasn't here with him.

Anyway, when i did get here i received a HUGE hug from

Deany Weeny. She said "where is Jazmin, i don't see her in

your suitcase anywhere" i said "just wait"

when i got home, i opened up my suitcase and there was this

3 foot tall drawing of Jazmin that we made the night before hahah.

she loved it, it is currently awaiting a spot on her wall, but is now

resting under her bed because "that's where she's the safest" according

to deany.

School started yesterday.

So today i have spanish & my first day of dance,

my dance teacher seems pretty strict, i hope she

I'm sorry it's been so long since I've blogged!

I feel like the whole Christmas break was just nice and

relaxing and I didn't even think to blog.

Some highlights of my break and New Years:

-Danny took me on a date =)

We saw The Princess & The Frog,

went Ice Skating, got Hot Chocolate &

went Longboarding, then went over to his

house to watch Glee.

It was really fun =) my boyfriend

is the best boyfriend ever. haha

& Ross, and went back to my house. We saw this way gross

thing about botflys that my sister was watching,

then went to my theatre to watch Sabrina.

I love that movie. There was a preview on it for

all these "Classic Romance" movies. I've made a new goal

to watch all of them:

We also ate at the ISR (Iron Skillet Restaurant)

its all you can eat. and not good. haha

basically its a buffet at a truck stop.
